Dear Tony,

As a retired Milwaukee Sentinel sportswriter and reporter-I retired in 1992 after 30 years with the Sentinel-I am well aware that the public is more inclined to complain about something rather than to issue compliments.  But in this case, my wife, Janet, and I want to say something good, not bad, about Chef Jack's Catering.

We are specifically referring to the wedding reception Oct. 23rd for our youngest daughter, Eileen, and her husband, Jamie.  The reception, attended by about 230 guests, was held at the Renaissance Center with your firm acting as the caterer.

Everything about the food portion of the wedding reception including the very hot and tasty appetizers and main dish, was first class.  And we especially appreciated that little extra effort that saw Jack's Catering, in conjunction with the Renaissance, serve that Bailey's Irish Cream and tiny chocolate drop in a tiny cup.  Also, noteworthy was your decision to put a chocolate covered strawberry on each slice of the delicious homemade wedding cake.

Many persons and family members told us how delicious the main entree and appetizers tasted.  The thing that really impressed us was that the main dish was served piping hot.  At an earlier reception my wife and I attended at the Renaissance which was catered by ***, our food was served cold.  I was very concerned that this might be the case with our wedding reception.  Our fears proved groundless, thanks to your excellent staff.

We enjoyed working with Candy and other members of your staff.  We appreciated the fact that Chef Jack's had someone available until the very end of the evening.

In closing, Janet and I want to thank you and your Chef Jack's staff for making Eileen and Jamie's wedding such a first-class, outstanding event, on that will be forever embedded in our memory banks.  In the future, if anyone asks us about possible caterers for a wedding or another event, my wife and I will heartily recommend Chef Jack's.  Your outstanding reputation is well deserved.  Thanks again for all your help and thoughtfulness.
